BinMaster has entered into a new direct license agreement with Emerson, acquiring an exclusive license to manufacture and distribute the 3D Solids Scanner level sensor and its associated software worldwide.
“This agreement ensures continued availability of the 3D Solids Scanners for customers demanding precise measurement of vessels and its 3D modelling software for years to come,” said Scott Hudson, executive vice president of sales and marketing for BinMaster. “BinMaster has successfully marketed this technology as the 3DLevelScanner in the United States and Canada since 2009.”
BinMaster got its start in the early 1960s when a local seed company asked Garner Industries to fabricate a switch to alert when bins were full. Today, BinMaster is a privately held, independent U.S. manufacturer of point and continuous level indicators and inventory management systems used for monitoring bulk solids or liquids in bins, tanks, silos and hoppers.
“Emerson is pleased to enter into a new global license agreement with BinMaster,” said Thomas Ortenberg, vice president & general manager with Emerson’s Automation Solutions business. “We will continue to leverage our patented breakthrough technologies used in the 3D Solids Scanner for the development of future products in the Emerson portfolio.”
Emerson is based in St. Louis, Mo., and is a technology and engineering company providing solutions for customers in industrial, commercial and residential markets.
