Kraken Robotics wins DND contract to upgrade sensor system

Kraken Robotics Inc. announced that it has been given a contract valued at $468,000 to for repairs and upgrades to its underwater sensor system for the Department of National Defense (DND).

Under the contract, Kraken will provide testing, repairs, integration and upgrading of its AquaPix INSAS sensor, originally sold to DND for integration on the Arctic Explorer Autonomous Underwater Vehicle in 2014.

Kraken is a marine technology company that makes software-centric sensors and underwater robotic systems, based out of St. John’s, N.L. with offices in Dartmouth, N.S., Toronto, Ont., and in Germany and the United States.
