KROHNE, Inc. is one of 15 Massachusetts firms to have won a MassEcon Impact Award, recognizing companies for their outstanding contributions to the Massachusetts economy.
The 15th Annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Award winners were selected on the basis of job growth, facility expansion, investment, and community involvement since Jan. 1, 2017.
“KROHNE is so pleased to be included among this group of expanding Massachusetts companies,” said Stephan Mimler, CEO of KROHNE Inc. “Producing our industry-leading process measurement instrumentation in Massachusetts provides a broader range of resources to serve customer needs better.”
KROHNE received a silver award for the Northeast Region, recognizing its recent $25.5 million expansion, which added 54,000 square feet and 13 jobs. The new facility includes a state of the art flow and level instrument manufacturing and calibration facility interconnected to a new two story office building, tripling the floor space.
“We are happy to recognize leaders in Massachusetts’ exceptional business community, and thank them for their contributions to our Commonwealth’s economy and their commitment to their local communities,” said Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Jay Ash. “Maintaining strong relationships between public and private sectors is crucial to increasing access to job opportunities for residents, and creating the conditions for long-term, stable economic growth in every region of our Commonwealth.”
