Magline taps Baird to be new CFO

Magline, Inc., manufacturer of Magliner aluminum material handling equipment, announced the addition of John Baird as its new Chief Financial Officer.
“John has a successful track record of delivering results in fast-paced business environments,” said Greg Ecker, president and COO of Magline, “He will be a great addition to our corporate leadership team.”
Baird is responsible for the organization’s finance, human resources and information technologies business units.
Baird joins Magline following his most recent position as CFO/VP of Operations at Paragon Technologies, Inc. based near Detroit, Mich. His responsibilities with Paragon Technologies included planning, directing and coordinating all financial, support and production operations required to obtain the company’s growth objectives.
“I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with the Magline team and having a positive impact on the organization,” said Baird, “My experience aligns perfectly with the needs Magline has today and the leadership skills they require to continue to execute their aggressive business strategy.”
Additional experience includes leadership roles with Thermo Vac, Inc. and DAVCO Technology, both located in Southeast Michigan. Baird holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Northwood University.
“John’s financial and operational experience will help our organization continue to grow while maintaining healthy financials,” said Ecker, “He credits his ability to coach and build high performing teams as the foundation of creating ownership, accountability and camaraderie.”
