METTLER TOLEDO’s Materials Characterization division is proud to announce the 2024 Thermal Analysis InfoDays, a premier event designed to bring together the Canadian scientific community for a day of innovation sharing and networking. Scheduled to take place in Toronto and Montreal, these sessions are tailored for chemists, engineers, and professionals looking to deepen their understanding of thermal analysis techniques.

Thermal analysis is a crucial aspect of material characterization, offering insights into properties such as phase transitions, thermal stability, and mechanical behavior. The InfoDays will focus on techniques such as Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Thermomechanical Analysis (TMA), and Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA).

Attendees can expect a dynamic agenda featuring:

  • Presentations on new innovations and their practical applications
  • Introduction to Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
  • Live demonstrations on DSC and TGA sample preparation and experimental conditions
  • DSC effects and curve interpretation (Workshop)
  • TGA applications and case studies

Additionally, the event will supply several opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange among peers and industry experts. Lunch and refreshments will be supplied to ensure a productive and enjoyable experience for all participants.
