Registration is now open for the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) 2018 Canadian Conference, held June 6-8, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Toronto Downtown, Toronto, Ont.

For the 17th year, key decision makers of the Canadian power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) industry will gather for business networking and education including: a CEO/Senior Executive Roundtable, a Leadership Enhancement Seminar and DM-IDEX.

“I thought last year’s Canadian Conference format was outstanding and look forward to attending again this year,” said Brent Pope, VP Sales & Marketing, Motion Industries Inc. “Our team finds the DM-IDEX a great opportunity to spend time with our supplier partners. I am happy to see the CEO roundtable and leadership enhancement seminar will continue for the 2018 conference as they were great additions.”

DM-IDEX (Distributor-Manufacturer Idea Exchange) provides Canadian distributor companies the opportunity to schedule meetings in advance with the manufacturers they wish to see during the conference. Manufacturers also can schedule meetings with distributor companies.

Two education sessions will also be offered on the second day of the conference. Dave Mitchell, a professional development expert will provide techniques to establish and develop extremely effective relationships. Brian Thwaits, author and educator will demonstrate how learning to use the brain better will significantly enhance the way participants think, learn and communicate.

“Isostatic has supported and attended the PTDA Canadian Conference for many years,” said Charlie Banta, VP sales, Isostatic Industries. “It is fun and fruitful, and it annually serves as a terrific springboard for us to visit with our Canadian friends just several months in advance of the industry summit.”

PTDA is a member-driven organization led by volunteers who work with their peers in the industry to develop relevant and timely content and programming. Using the expertise of several of the industry’s top executives, the programming for the Canadian Conference is specifically designed for Canadian distributors and manufacturers who sell power transmission/motion control products in Canada.
