Tricarico to lead SP Scienceware sales

A man with an extensive leadership background in life sciences from start-ups to multinational corporations has been tapped to head up SP Industries Scienceware and Ableware divisions.

Brian Larkin, CEO of SP Industries, Inc. announced the appointment of Martin Tricarico as Senior Vice President of Sales for SP Industries Scienceware and Ableware divisions today.

“Martin has an impressive track record in developing and executing strategic plans focused on building core strengths, maximizing ROI and leading the market,” said Larkin. “We look forward to the benefit of his expertise and vision as we continue to passionately deliver confidence to our customers by providing researchers with innovative, solution-based labware for today’s workflows.”

Tricarico will be leading the sales and customer service teams covering catalog and OEM sales for Wilmad-LabGlass, Bel-Art and Maddak brand products.

SP Scienceware offers a diverse product portfolio of 9000+ items that include Wilmad-LabGlass glassware and nmr/epr tubes and accessories, as well as Bel-Art and H-B Instrument brand labware for sample handling including racks, bottles, desiccators, thermometers and more. SP Ableware is the leading U.S. manufacturer of Aids for Daily Living (ADL) products.

In his new role Tricarico will be focused on maximizing established channels, driving customer focus and development of new and non-traditional routes to market for catalog products as well as the companies extensive OEM and custom capabilities within instrumentation, life sciences and industrial applications.

Most recently Tricarico was Vice President of Sales for SIO2 Medical Products Advanced Lab Consumables Division and has held commercial leadership roles at GE Healthcare, Whatman Ltd., Amersham Biosciences and others.
 
He holds an M.S. in Biology from Drexel University and completed his undergraduate work in Microbiology at Rutgers University. Tricarico will be based out of SP Industries Wayne, NJ office and resides in Piscataway, New Jersey with his wife and five children.
