Wholesale auto trade down 2.2% in March

Canadian wholesale trade decreased by 2.2 per cent in March from February on weaker sales in the motor vehicles and motor vehicle parts and accessories subsector, Statistics Canada said on Wednesday.
Sales were down in three out of seven subsectors, representing 29 per cent of wholesale trade, while sales declined in six of the 10 provinces.
Sales fell by 2.8 per cent in volume terms.
