Viscosity compensated flow meter suitable for viscous liquids

Kobold has announced the VKM — Viscosity Compensated Flow Meter — for viscous liquids.

The spring-loaded variable area flow meter is used for measuring and monitoring viscous media. It is designed to have full viscosity compensation and extensive density compensation, especially at lowest flow rates.

Using the company’s patented viscosity compensation system, these metal rotameters are said to be essentially insensitive to viscosity and density changes during operation.

This development in flow and measurement control technology, the company says, has resulted in an extremely versatile device suitable for many applications where standard technologies have been inconsistent or otherwise have failed.
