Larson Electronics has announced the release of an explosion-proof fluorescent fixture. This 72-watt light fixture is ATEX/IECEx approved for Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 and comes with two 4-foot lamps operating on 220-240V AC. This IP66-rated fixture is made from non-sparking materials and can be mounted to ceilings or walls.
The ATEX-HALP-48-2L-T8-2X36W explosion proof fluorescent light fixture is for use in flammable and hazardous locations and features two 4-foot fluorescent lamps. This cold-start unit is compatible with 220-240V AC and consumes 72 watts during operation (36 watts per lamp). This lamp offers a flood beam configuration for full coverage while in use and offers a T4 temperature rating.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof fluorescent light fixture has an NC switch, providing all-pole disconnection when the unit is opened. The housing is made of glass fibre-reinforced polyester resin with a polycarbonate lens and silicone foam gaskets. This unit comes with two M25 hubs on either side for completing electrical connections and can be wall or ceiling mounted.
This fixture is suitable for use in chemical factories, water treatment plants, hazardous industrial facilities and more.
