TNR Industrial Doors launched a new and improved version of its Chillfast freezer door design in 2017, with installations at companies such as Sysco, Tyson Foods, Versa Cold, Upper Lake Foods and Black Diamond Cheese.
The improved design includes speeds of up to 108 inches per second using a direct drive, springless, frequency inverter drive system. The high-speed door helps to reduce energy loss and increase productivity in refrigerated, high traffic environments such as food production and food distribution facilities.
The new unit has integrated heating in the bottom bar, guides and hoods to maintain reliable performance in frosty conditions. For applications with higher risk of forming frost, optional air curtains are available with high volume blowers, with or without heat. The soft bottom bar can withstand a vehicle impact and resets quickly. The new lead-in feature in the door guides ensures that the door resets easily, minimizing downtime.
Infra-red photo-eyes and electric safety reversing edge can accommodate doorways of up to 13 ft wide by 18 ft high.
