The Ralston Instruments DCAP-PV pump along with a FieldLab calibrator and an absolute pressure transmitter can generate a vacuum to reach necessary test points. The pump needs to be easy to use as most calibration technicians will calibrate quite a few transmitters each day.
When testing pressure gauges the hand pump allows the user to control pressure or vacuum very easily and move through their tests without worrying about leaks from hoses and adapters, the company says.
The fine adjust piston on the DCAP is said to be very precise and lets the user open or close a pressure switch easily.
In addition, the connections on most flow computers can be accessed with Ralston Quick Connect adapters without thread sealant and logging the calibration can be done with the FieldLab calibrator.
