KSB Pumps has added a new large-size member to its CHTR series of high-pressure pumps for petroleum industry applications. Members of the series are designed to be fully compliant with the American Petroleum lnstitute’s API 610 standard for barrel pumps (Type BBS) and are suitable for refineries, petrochemical facilities, boiler feed water or SAG-D applications. The new model pumps provide capacities of up to 1450 m3/h and heads as high as 2500 m. In order to meet the requirements of petroleum-related applications, KSB’s CHTR pumps are available in a variety of corrosion-resistant materials. Their special “cartridge• design means that all internal components (shaft, impellers, diffusers, seals, bearings) can be withdrawn from the casing as a unit, leaving support structures and pipe connections to the suction and discharge nozzles undisturbed, the company says. The series offers a wide range of sizes and 30 possible hydraulic configurations.
