Larson Electronics has announced the release of an explosion proof low-profile LED light fixture for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations.
This LED fixture carries a T5 temperature rating and is suitable for use in paint spray booths. This low-profile LED fixture comes equipped with terminal strips for wiring and produces 13,520 lumens of light output.
The EPL-LP-48-LED-480V explosion proof low-profile LED light fixture is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This LED light produces 13,520 lumens of light while only drawing 104 watts and features a copper-free aluminum alloy body that is powder-coated for added durability. The LED offers 60,000 hours of lamp life with 80% lumen retention.
Larson Electronics’ low-profile explosion proof LED fixture is universal voltage capable and can be operated with 480V AC  50/60Hz without any modifications. The LED assemblies provide a 100˚ horizontal beam spread and 140˚ vertical beam spread with the LED assembly protected by a tempered borosilicate glass tube that is protected by an aluminum wire guard. This IP67-rated unit is dust-proof and protected against high-pressure jets and temporary submersion.
This unit features a colour temperature of 5,000K with 3,000K and 4,500K options available. This unit comes with terminal strips for wiring and L-shaped brackets with three holes per bracket for attaching the light fixture. Each fixture features a 3/4” NPT junction box on one end and an eyelet on the other end for easy suspension mounting. Suitable applications include paint spray booths, chemical manufacturing plants, and more.
