Products AutomationDirect bearings igus power transmissionAutomationDirect has added three styles of polymer (plastic) bearings and compatible hard anodized aluminum linear shafts to its mechanical power transmission line. The igus DryLin R series linear plain bearings are dimensionally interchangeable with other popular brands, and offer a low-cost alternative to recirculating ball bearings, the company says.
The low-friction polymer material is suitable for wet or dirty environments. Available in four shaft diameters in fixed and self-aligning housings, they are ideal for use with DryLin R aluminum shafts.
The igus igubal series mounted spherical bearings are engineered from L280 polymer to be lubrication-free and maintenance-free. They fit four common shaft sizes.
The igus iglide series plain bearings are said to be economical, dry-running and maintenance free. Offered in three popular materials, J (low friction), G300 (general purpose), and T500 (high temp), these sleeve and flange bearings offer good chemical resistance and fit shafts from 1/4 to 1 inch.
The igus DryLin R series hard-anodized shafts were developed as the optimal sliding surface for DryLin R linear bearings. The hard-anodized aluminum shafts are available in four diameters and three lengths (up to 1m) in both round and fully-supported shafting.
