Endress+Hauser’s new ITHERM TrustSens thermometer features the world’s first RTD sensor capable of fully automated, in-situ self-calibration.
This award-winning smart temperature probe for the Life Sciences and Food and Beverage industries effectively eliminates the risk of undetected non-conformities, reduces production downtime, increases product safety and process efficiency. It also assures users of seamless and continuous compliance with FDA and other regulatory requirements, per “Good Manufacturing Practices” Rules (GMP – Annex 15)
The ITHERM TrustSens inline self-calibration is fully traceable, capable of generating automatized audit-proof documentation and with a memory for 350 calibration points can be converted into printable calibration certificates. The sensor is calibrated automatically using a physical fixed point based on the Curie temperature (which is material-specific and has long-term stability).
The ITHERM TrustSens offers the highest measuring point accuracy via sensor-transmitter matching and there is no risk of undetected failures due to Endress+Hauser’s built-in proprietary Heartbeat monitoring.
The globally certified (including FDA, CSA) ITHERM TrustSens is a compact resistance temperature probe with a hygienic design and hygienic process connection rated for a measuring range of -40° to +160°C (-40° to +320°F). More than 50 sterile and hygienic process connections are available, including thread, clamp, APV-Inline, Varivent and DIN 11851.
The ITHERM TrustSens won the 2018 HERMES AWARD for Endress+Hauser. The HERMES AWARD, announced annually at the Hannover Messe, is one of the world’s most coveted prizes honoring innovation breakthroughs in industrial technology.  More recently, it also was recognized by Pharma Manufacturing with an award for “Monitoring & Analytical Devices.”
