Two-ferrule fittings speed high pressure fluid tubing installation times

Swagelok has announced FK series two-ferrule tube fittings for medium- and high-pressure fluid system applications. By switching from traditional cone and thread fittings to these, the company says, assemblers are able to complete fitting installations approximately five times faster, while virtually eliminating rework needed during hydrotesting and acceptance test steps.

In service, the Swagelok series of two-ferrule tube fittings is said to help to improve system reliability and reduce overall maintenance needs.

These efficiencies deliver significant savings and a reduced total cost of ownership, the company adds.
