Ultrasonic clamp-on thermal, heat/energy flow meter

The Micronics U1000MKII-HM clamp-on thermal, heat/energy flow meter from Hoskin Scientific uses ultrasound to measure flow rate and PT100 temperature sensors to measure flow and return temperatures.

The flow meter displays energy rate and totalized energy with pulse output and communication options.

Hoskin Scientific units are said to be simple to install — connect power and enter the pipe inside diameter, adjust the sensors and clamp-on the pipe – no specialist skills or tools required.

Features include:

• Modbus and Mbus communication options;
• ±1% to 3% of flow reading accuracy for >0.3 m/s (1 ft/s); and,
• flow velocity range of 0.1 to 10 m/s.
