Viscosity-compensating flowmeter and switch

The Kobold VKG series viscosity-compensating flowmeters and flow switches are said to fill an important gap in the high viscosity media measurement field. Using the company’s patented viscosity-compensation system, these flowmeters and flow switches are largely insensitive to viscosity and density changes during operation.

Product specifications for the Kobold VKG series include:

• a measuring/switching range of 0.03…0.12 to 2…21 GPM (oil);
• fittings from ¼ in. NPT…1 in. NPT; wetted material of Ni-Plated Brass, SS, Glass, NBR and FKM;
• maximum pressure of 175 PSIG;
• maximum operating temperature of 100°C; ±5% FS accuracy; and,
• options of 1 or 2 reed contacts, and external pointer indicator.

Features include:

• high and low viscosity media capabilities;
• viscosity-compensated up to 540 cSt (no scale recalibration necessary);
• density compensated up to 30 lb/ft³;
• direct reading oil scale;
• mounting position independent; and,
• in-line connections for easy installation.
