To fight the coronavirus pandemic, Ginolis Ltd. in Oulunsalo, Finland, has converted existing rapid testing equipment lines to produce COVID-19 testing kits. Compact automation technology from Beckhoff contributes significantly to the production equipment’s modularity, flexibility and high quality.
To further increase connectivity options in ultra-compact PC Control hardware, Beckhoff Automation has introduced the new C6032 Industrial PC (IPC). With dimensions of 129 x 133 x 104 mm, the IPC enhances the scalability of the PC-based controller portfolio from the company.
The Beckhoff Automation unit adds two slots for PCIe Compact modules to the C6030 single-board IPC, which is comparable in terms of computing power, to accommodate modular interfaces and functional extensions.
With the use of compact PCIe modules, the C6032 can be optimally adapted to the unique requirements of individual applications.
The first available PCIe modules include:
- 2 x Gbit Ethernet; 2 x USB 3.0; 2 x RS232; and
- 1 x CP-Link 4 (for connection to Beckhoff displays).
Controllers are suitable for an operating temperature range of up to 55ºC.
Beckhoff Automation has announced the promotion of Calvin Wallace to the managing director position Beckhoff Canada (Beckhoff Automation Ltd.). Wallace takes over the leadership role previously held by Joe Ottenhof, who is retiring, but will remain with the company on the board of directors.
