Kraft Heinz Co. has announced a plan to make ketchup in Canada again, six years after it abandoned production in Lemington, ON. Av Maharaj, chief administrative officer at Kraft Heinz Canada, said earlier this month that the company will start producing Heinz ketchup at its facility in Mount Royal, QC, pumping out the equivalent of 13 million one-litre bottles each year starting in 2021.
Digital locking company iLOQ has extended its operations across the Atlantic to Canada. Founded in Finland in 2003, iLOQ currently has sales offices in eight countries throughout Europe and a partner network around the world.
According to a report by Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME), manufacturing sales rose by a record 20.7% to $48.7 billion in June, extending the 11.6% gain in May. After removing the effect of prices, manufacturing volumes rose 18.4%.

Beckhoff Automation has announced the promotion of Calvin Wallace to the managing director position Beckhoff Canada (Beckhoff Automation Ltd.). Wallace takes over the leadership role previously held by Joe Ottenhof, who is retiring, but will remain with the company on the board of directors.
