Project CLEANS remediating abandoned mine sites

SRC is remediating 37 abandoned uranium mine and mill sites in northern Saskatchewan, as part of Project CLEANS (Cleanup of Abandoned Northern Sites).
 
For the past several years, the Project CLEANS team has worked with communities, leadership and regulators to determine priorities for each season, as well as what remediation options will be chosen for the sites.

In this video, you will learn more about the work that was done in 2017 and see what a remediation project looks like, spread out over remote locations. You’ll also hear about what’s in store for 2018 work season and beyond.
