NRC scientists identify canola lines with increased protein and reduced fibre

Scientists at the National Research Council of Canada have been working on a project to boost the protein content of canola and reduce the fibre and anti-nutritional compounds within the plant.

According to DairyReporter, a team at the Aquatic and Crop Resource Development Research Centre, collaborating with Corteva Agriscience, have had the goal of boosting the value of the crop and expanding the use of canola meal in livestock, poultry, and fish feed.
