Babcock International Group (Babcock), the defence, security and aerospace company, has announced the appointment of Jerry McLean as Babcock Canada’s Chief Executive Officer.
He took on his new role on November 22, succeeding Mike Whalley who will be retiring in December.
“I’m delighted to welcome Jerry to Babcock. His experience and expertise will be invaluable as we focus on further developing our business in Canada where we see significant opportunities for growth,” said Babcock CEO David Lockwood.
Reporting directly to the Group CEO, McLean will be responsible for pursuing defence and value-add service opportunities, as well as leading Babcock Canada’s existing marine and aviation business.
McLean has experience in the Canadian defence sector, most recently as Managing Director for Thales Canada, Defence and Security. A retired Royal Canadian Navy Combat Systems Engineer with years of experience, McLean specializes in complex project management, in-service support, and international cooperation programs.
