Turck Canada has announced the addition of the Hybrid Safety Block I/O Module for CIP Safety over EtherNet/IP to its lineup of fieldbus technology products. The hybrid safety concept from Turck combines both safety I/O and general purpose I/O in a single, rugged, on-machine, remote I/O device. The CIP Safety (TBIP) module expands the existing hybrid safety offering, which already includes an option for PROFIsafe over PROFINET.
Emerson has announced the LED version of its field-proven Appleton A-51 lighting fixture, a move that is said to save end-users as much as 80 percent on energy costs compared to the incandescent model.
The MOD 142 from Ecotherm is an input expansion module designed to operate in stand-alone mode (after being configured) or combined with a SITRAD supervisory system. It allows the expansion of the capacity of digital events (on/off) and analog values of temperature and pressure.
A new hybrid PVC/rubber hose introduced by AutomationDirect is suitable for air and water use. Nitra hybrid PVC hose is a blend of PVC and rubber with a polyester braided reinforcement. The PVC gives light weight, color stability and hardness for higher working pressures while the rubber gives improved flexibility and operating temperature range.
In applications such as calibrating sensors atop a fermenter tank or smoke stack, using the cloud-based JofraCloud calibration software from Ametek STC, all set points and readings in between can be done remotely.
Siemens has introduced the Sinamics G120X drive, said to be a simple, seamless and easy-to-use drive, designed for use in pump, fan and compressor applications in industries such as water/wastewater, HVAC/R, irrigation/agriculture and in industrial environments.
Picomag is an electromagnetic flowmeter from Endress+Hauser for bidirectional measurement of conductive liquids. It is used for flow measurements in water or service water applications. Due to its easy installation and operation, its robust design and low price it can be used in applications where only limited principles could be used before.
