Ficodis Group acquires Reliable Bearing of Mississauga

Montreal-based Ficodis Group is acquiring Reliable Bearing, a company specializing in power transmission products based in Mississauga, ON. This makes 14 acquisitions for Ficodis Group, allowing the company to complete its network of power transmission distributors and add new brands to its product portfolio.

It also furthers Ficodis’s expansion strategy of establishing partnerships with major industrial supply distributors throughout Quebec and Ontario.

“This new acquisition brings us to five specialized branches in the power transmission sector,” said Ficodis Group president Christophe Bévillard. “Reliable Bearing is known for high quality, 24/7 customer service, speedy delivery and technical know-how, and will further develop our expertise in this field.”

Reliable Bearing, a 100% Canadian-owned company founded 35 years ago in Mississauga, will be able to rely on the support of its president, Carl Faria, who will remain in his position to oversee the transition. Combined with the acquisition of Transbearco last September, Ficodis Group is continuing to expand its network, with power transmission points of sale in Lévis, Ottawa, Montréal and Toronto.
