Larson Electronics has announced the release of an explosion-proof, low bay LED fixture for use in hazardous locations.
This LED fixture can replace traditional 250-watt metal halide lamps and produces 7,000 lumens of light output. This 50-watt unit carries an IP67 waterproof rating and offers a 60,000+ hour lifespan.
The EPL-LB-50LED-RT-WLM 50-watt, explosion-proof, low bay LED light fixture is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This low bay LED fixture features a colour temperature rating of 5600K, with other options available, including 3000K and 4500K. This unit features a copper-free aluminum alloy housing and is protected against high-pressure jets and temporary submersion.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof, low bay LED light fixture is universal voltage capable and can be operated with 100-277V AC 50/60Hz. Low voltage options that operate on voltages from 11-25 volts are also available. This low bay LED fixture comes with an internal wiring junction box built into the mount of the fixture and four 3/4-inch NPT threaded ports for running conduit.
This unit comes with a standard wall mount configuration and is recommended for lower mounting heights between 15 and 40 feet. Suitable applications include paint spray booths, refineries, chemical plants and more.
