ELECTRIC Control-Valve ActuatorS Provide Precise Operation Rotork electric, non-intrusive CVA control-valve actuators provide a technological advance in precise operation, HMI capabilities, and fail-to-position protection as well as significant energy savings. They are available in linear and quarter-turn actions and are suitable for a wide range of control-valve applications throughout the plant. The new actuators eliminate the need for costly air supplies and are easily integrated into most process control environments, including those that use Hart and Foundation Fieldbus protocols. CVA actuators provide extremely precise control-valve operation with repeatability and resolution performance at <0.1% of full scale. In addition, they include, as a standard feature, wireless Bluetooth communication technology that can be used for quick and easy actuator set-up and adjustment. All Rotork CVA actuators incorporate a data logger, which provides an extensive record of such operational and maintenance-related data as valve torque profiles, dwell times, and relevant statistical information. They utilize a built-in super-capacitor that provides an advanced, programmable method for fail-to-position protection. Rotork CVA actuators can be specified for single-phase AC or DC electrical supplies.

Compact, Quiet, Efficient Pumps are Ideal for Medium-Duty Mobile and Industrial Use
A 45cc/rev P1/PD Series variable displacement, axial piston pump from Parker Hannifin, is design optimized for medium-pressure open-circuit mobile (P1) and industrial (PD) applications. The 45cc P1/PD will be available with an optional torque limiter to increase fuel/electricity efficiency by enabling the use of a smaller prime mover, thus reducing weight and saving customers dollars. As well, an optional full power through-drive version is available for applications requiring multiple pumps. Rated for continuous operation at pressures up to 280 bar, P1/PD Series pumps feature: compact, round housing (smaller and quieter than comparable “flat surface” designs); low flow ripple to further reduce noise; smple hydraulic controls with “no leak” adjustments; eastomer seals to eliminate gaskets and external leakage; SAE and ISO standard mounting flanges and ports; tpered-roller shaft bearings; low friction, hydrostatically balanced swash plate saddle bearings; full power through-drive capability; and end or side inlet and outlet ports.

MINIATURE DEPTH AND LEVEL TRANSMITTER WORKS IN LIMITED SPACES The STS MTM/N10 miniature depth & level transmitter is designed for applications where spaced is very limited, such as in 1/2 in. monitoring wells, stand pipes and bore holes. With an outside diameter of 0.39 in., this compact transmitter fits in almost every stilling well where space is an issue. The MTM/N10 features a 316 SS design with an oil filled piezoresistive sensor element and either polyurethane or polyethylene cable. Cable length is typically up to 500 ft, with longer cable lengths available on request. Full scale ranges from 0 to 1 through 0 to 150 psi are available with a proof pressure of typically 300% FS. The standard version comes with a ratiometric output signal of typically 0 to 50 mV at 10 VDC excitation, with alternate analog output signals such as 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 5 VDC or 0 to 10 VDC available when the Separate Electronics option is selected. With this option a signal conditioning circuit is provided in a fully submersible in-line enclosure. This miniature depth and level transmitter can also be combined with a datalogger.
