Shaft Alignment Tools harness the power of lasers

The new TKSA series of shaft alignment tools has been designed to be easy to use and harness the power of lasers to achieve pin-point accuracy in the alignment of shafts. The latest development of SKF’s alignment tool range, the new series consists of two models; the TKSA 20 that suits virtually any budget and the TKSA 40 with built-in tolerance checking and a memory facility that allows results to be stored and shared. Both tools have been designed around the needs of technicians, who have to perform shaft alignment tasks. The TKSA tools are simple to use and display real-time alignment values, allowing the results of alignment corrections to be seen as they are done.

Non-Contacting Portable Ultrasonic Flow Meter

The new Portaflow PT400 Transit Time Flow Meter measures flow from outside a pipe and is designed for clean liquids like water, oils and most chemicals. It is recommended for troubleshooting, spot checks and balancing flow. Clamp-on sensors mount on the outside of plastic or metal pipes and ultrasonic signals are injected through the pipe between the two sensors. Select A or B sensor configuration for a wide range of pipe sizes. The Greyline PT400 features include a large, backlit graphics display, 4-20mA output, and a user-friendly operating system with “Quick Start” calibration menu, plus the ability to store calibrations for up to 20 different sites. It operates 16 hours on internal battery and recharges overnight.

Dry Vibrating Magnetic Filters Handle Food and Pharmaceutical Powders

The newly redesigned Dry Vibrating Magnetic Filter (DVMF) offers a stainless steel construction option that makes it ideal for handling food and pharmaceutical powders. The DVFM features a high intensity, high gradient magnetic field generated in the bore of a solenoid coil encased in a steel housing. Filter elements are provided by a matrix system that consists of a series of stainless steel metal discs. The matrix amplifies the externally applied magnetic field, produces regions of extremely high gradient and provides collection sites for the capture of ferrous contaminants. The magnet in these units is so powerful that it will successfully remove fine abraded 316 stainless steel, a metal that is typically non-magnetic to most magnetic separators.

Diagnostic Module for Continuous Physical Layer Monitoring

Easy to configure and simple to operate, the HD2-DM-A.RO Stationary Diagnostic Module with Relay Output is a cost effective physical layer monitoring and diagnostic solution that enables users to continuously monitor the jitter, noise and signal level of up to four Foundation Fieldbus or Profibus PA fieldbus segments with a single module.

The user simply sets the signal, noise and jitter warning levels via easily accessible DIP-switches, with no software required.  After the DIP-switches are set, the user just plugs the module into the motherboard to initiate physical layer monitoring.  Any warnings will cause a summary alarm via voltage-free contact at the fault output on the motherboard. The HD2-DM-A.RO diagnostic module requires the smallest amount of engineering to put physical layer monitoring into practice.  It quickly and easily snaps into the diagnostic module slot on any PowerHub motherboard, and puts no additional loading on the bus.  A single relay contact input to the control system provides annunciation for the whole Power Hub. The HD2-DM-A.RO is Zone 2/Div 2 mountable, and provides protection in accordance with IEC 60529, shock resistance in accordance with EN 60068-2-27 and vibration resistance in accordance with EN 60068-2-6.  The module is ideally suited for entry level users who need to continuously monitor the fieldbus physical layer.  Additional diagnostic solutions are available for more advanced users and applications.
